Lithops (Living Stones) – Pebble Plant Succulent | Low‑Maintenance

Lithops, also known as living stones, are a type of succulent plant that are native to southern Africa. They are known for their unique and fascinating appearance, which resembles small pebbles or stones.

Lithops plants have two thick leaves that are fused together, creating a slit in the middle where a small, daisy-like flower can emerge. These leaves are usually flat and have a distinctive pattern and color that resembles the stones they are named after.

Light: Lithops prefer bright, indirect sunlight. They can also tolerate some direct sunlight, but be careful not to expose them to too much sun.

Water: Lithops are adapted to survive long periods of drought, so they require very little water. Water them sparingly, only when the soil is completely dry.

Soil: Lithops require well-draining soil that is sandy and gravelly. They do not do well in heavy, clay soils.
