Product Description

The tree is small to medium in size, reaching 8 to 18 m in height, with a crooked trunk and spreading branches.

Ripening in autumn, the berries are harvested by hand after climbing to the upper branches bearing the fruits. The taste of Indian gooseberry is sour, bitter, and astringent, and it is quite fibrous. In India, it is common to eat gooseberries steeped in salt water and turmeric to make sour fruits palatable. It is also used to straighten hair.

Protect the plant from direct harsh sunlight as it can cause damage to the foliage.

Soil

The soil should be well drained and fertile rich in organic content. We recommend gardengram potting mix for best results.

Poke your finger/plain small stick into the soil to check the moisture.

Water when topsoil (1-2 inches) feels dry to the touch.

Water thoroughly in the summer and reduce watering in winter and rainy seasons.
